What Is Compliance
Management Software?
For me to properly answer this question, I
need to provide a little background
first.
About 8
years ago, the FTC
developed
"Cross-Border Fraud
Guidelines" which proclaimed that the FTC has
joined with Hundreds of International Law Enforcement Agencies
around the world to form a combined force and aggressively
combat what they see as the growing problem of 'Cross-Border
Fraud'. This combined force has vowed to
unilaterally enforce the FTC's Rules
and Regulations on a Worldwide Basis.
These new
laws are set in place to regulate how
you
do online business.
It doesn't matter, what you are selling. There are
guidelines and THEY ARE ENFORCED!
On December
1st, 2009, the FTC strengthened their enforcement to
regulate all websites.
There are brand new website requirements that if you do not
have in place on your website(s), you are automatically
considered an illegal
operation.
The
penalties for not meeting these guidelines can be
disasterous to your business, personal life and future. It can be that
bad! I have heard of fines for even small mom and pop operations
starting at
$25,000 if
the lawyer is able to work
with them. There is much more on this later.
The FTC
does not listen to excuses, like we didn't know, or we
thought we were in compliance. They will tell you that as a
business person, it is your responsibility to know these
things and act upon them before opening business. [end of
conversation]
To
prevent this from
happening and for the protection of the many business
interests, an
internet lawyer designed an automatic software package.
All that one has to do
is to simply use this to update your website. And it
will update all of your websites. This software saves you the
cost for the
personal time of
an attorney.
By the
way, no longer can you use generic pages for your websites with different
products and services. They now require their own special documents
and information
So,
are
you in
compliance with the FTC?
Probably
NOT!
Most
online business owners aren't & don't even know
it.
Better
check it out now. I did!
